Wallace Subaru of Johnson City has once again demonstrated its support for the local community through a generous donation of $52,604 to Meals on Wheels Northeast Tennessee. This contribution, raised during the annual Subaru Share The Love Campaign, brings Wallace Subaru's total donations to over $100,000 in just two years, following a $48,392 donation in 2023.
The Subaru Share The Love Campaign, held from November 16, 2023, to January 2, 2024, is a nationwide initiative where Subaru of America and participating dealerships, like Wallace Subaru of Johnson City, donate $500 to a selected charity for each new vehicle purchased. This year, the customers of Wallace Subaru showed incredible support, resulting in this substantial donation to Meals on Wheels Northeast Tennessee.
“Our customers responded amazingly to this year’s Share The Love event and the results are this incredible donation to Meals on Wheels,” said TC Baker, Executive Manager of Wallace Subaru of Johnson City. “All of us at Wallace Subaru of Johnson City are proud and honored to help just a little bit to provide support to seniors in need. Whether it’s a hot meal, a safety check, or someone to talk with, this service is vital to so many.”
Meals on Wheels Northeast Tennessee plays a crucial role in addressing hunger and isolation among seniors in the region. By delivering nutritious meals, providing friendly visits, and conducting safety checks, the organization helps seniors maintain their independence and dignity. Serving Carter, Greene, Johnson, Hancock, Hawkins, Sullivan, Unicoi, and Washington counties, Meals on Wheels Northeast Tennessee's mission is to enhance the quality of life for seniors.

In 2023 alone, Meals on Wheels Northeast Tennessee served 298,577 meals to 2,753 clients across the eight-county area. This remarkable effort was supported by volunteers who contributed over 21,500 hours of their time to ensure the smooth operation of the program.
