FTHRA Joins the Subaru Share the Love® Event to Support Meals on Wheels

FTHRA is thrilled to participate in the 17th annual Subaru Share the Love® Event! This campaign, which runs from November 16, 2024, to January 2, 2025, enables Subaru and its retailers to donate $250 to a customer’s chosen charity for every new Subaru vehicle purchased or leased. Meals on Wheels is one of the four national charities featured in this event, and FTHRA’s Meals on Wheels of Northeast Tennessee benefits directly from this incredible initiative.

While Wallace Subaru of Johnson City has chosen Niswonger Children’s Hospital as their hometown charity this year, they continue to support Meals on Wheels and FTHRA’s mission to serve seniors in our region. Subaru’s generous contributions help us deliver nutritious meals, provide wellness checks, and foster meaningful connections with our senior neighbors, ensuring they remain safe and healthy in their homes.

In Northeast Tennessee, Meals on Wheels serves over 341,000 meals annually to more than 2,400 clients across eight counties. Rising food costs and inflation have made community support more vital than ever, and the Subaru Share the Love® Event provides an essential lifeline for this program. Each meal delivered through this program not only nourishes seniors physically but also combats social isolation by offering companionship and connection.
