Reflecting on a Year of Impact and Service: FTHRA 2023 Highlights

As we bid farewell to another remarkable year, the First Tennessee Human Resource Agency (FTHRA) is thrilled to share the impactful achievements and milestones reached by each of our programs in 2023. The collective efforts of our dedicated team and volunteers have made a substantial difference in our community, touching the lives of many.


Adult Day Services (ADS)

  • Served 57 clients during the fiscal year and 54 clients for the calendar year.

  • Six ADS clients assisted Meals on Wheels with homebound meal deliveries from March to August.

  • Organized the first-ever trip to Bays Mountain, creating memorable experiences for our clients.

  • Nominated a devoted volunteer with 30 years of service for the Kathy Whitaker Volunteer of the Year award.

 

Child Care Food Program (CCFP)

  • Provided a staggering total of 63,537 meals and snacks to children enrolled in CCFP from October 2022 to September 2023.

 

Foster Grandparent Program

  • Volunteer Service Year’s Grant (VSY) saw 55 Foster Grandparents contribute a total of 57,775 hours.

  • Impacting 526 children, Foster Grandparents played a crucial role in the community.

 

Meals on Wheels (MOW)

  • Delivered a heartwarming total of 298,577 meals to 2,753 clients across counties.

  • Engaged 509 homebound meal delivery volunteers and 118 congregate meal volunteers, accumulating 21,508 volunteer hours.

 

NET Trans

  • Covered an impressive 3,046,382 miles and completed 141,537 trips.

  • Operated 106 vehicles, ensuring essential transportation services on 320 days, including weekends.

 

Personal Support Services (PSS)

  • Supported 190 clients, fostering self-sufficiency and independent living through in-home services.

 

CCI | Misdemeanor Probation Program | Alternative Community Corrections Program

  • Monitored 2,630 clients across Washington, Greene, Carter, and Johnson counties.

  • Collaborated with Recovery Courts, facilitating transformative journeys for approximately 40 graduates.

  • State-certified programs, offering classes ranging from DUI awareness to Intensive Domestic Violence classes.

 

Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP)

  • Employed 64 seniors, contributing 42,529 hours of work and receiving $308,335.25 in participant payments.
